Classes Offered

Puppy: An introduction to training for puppies 4 to 6 months old.  Puppies learn socialization and basic exercises as taught in the beginners class.  The class includes advice for puppy owners in housebreaking and eliminating bad habits.

Beginners:  For dogs at least 7 months old who are new to training.  Dogs learn to walk on leash, sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay, come when called, stand, finish and socialization.

Intermediate:  For dogs who have completed Beginners.  Dogs lean more controlled sit-stay, down-stay, heeling, recalls and are introduced to off-leash work and signal exercises.  Dogs and handlers learn advanced exercises.

Advanced:  For dogs who have completed the intermediate class or with instructor approval.  Dogs refine previously learned exercises and are introduced to dumbbell and jumping exercises.  The advanced class prepares dogs and handlers for AKC Novice Competition and the Open Class.
